COUNSELLING

When working with people our counsellor uses a particular focus so as to help you explore your need for change using an approach that is right for you.

Counselling sessions are usually 1 hour long, are confidential and mainly take place within the consulting room at Crook of Devon or in Dundee. A block of six or twelve sessions are usual, though the counsellor is able to respond to situations where longer term work is necessary.

Carole Haigh is an accredited member and Fellow of The National Counselling Society and abides by their codes of practice, standards and ethics.

She is trained in

  • Psychodynamic Counselling
  • Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • NLP

and is an Advanced Practitioner of Meridian Energy Therapies and is able to blend Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) with her counselling to help you overcome those emotions which are holding you back. It doesn't matter whether the emotions are to do with phobias (for which EFT is best known) or for depression, relationships, limiting beliefs, pain, examination nerves - it really doesn't matter this simple technique can be taught to you and you will now have a way of helping yourself for life.
